LA SCALA, PARIS

La Scala Paris, a creative centre in the heart of the capital, was born from the ambition of Mélanie and Frédéric Biessy to design, with today's creators from all artistic disciplines, the high-performance tool they had been waiting for.

A modular hall with 550 seats open to all audiences and artists.La Scala Paris, a fully modular art and creation theatre equipped with state-of-the-art acoustics, brings together theatre, dance, music, new circus, visual and digital arts on the same stage.

Designed from spring 2016 to summer 2018 in a constructive dialogue between numerous artists and Mélanie and Frédéric Biessy, it owes its physical identity to Richard Peduzzi, an accomplice in the theatrical adventures of Patrice Chéreau and Luc Bondy, who designed its interior architecture down to the last detail. Its sound identity is signed by the composer Philippe Manoury, whose high standards have enabled it to be equipped with acoustics adapted to the demands of today's music. Its visual identity is due to the graphic designer Rudi Meyer whose works belong to the greatest European museums.

La Scala Paris is a private theatre in the public interest, concerned about its environment and the educational and social missions of a place of creation. It is run by Mélanie, president, and Frédéric Biessy, general manager.
